Day 26

Today, I am grateful for being able to have access to dope writings!

I spent this morning reading poetry. Specifically, Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) lived experiences through their writings. So dope. 

I believe that we should make every effort to read, daily. 

This does not mean that I sit down for hours and hours on end reading. But, what I do block out a time to sit and read and take notes and write my own poetry or extending thinking. 

Reading can be audiobooks, graphic novels, poetry, news articles, fiction, nonfiction. Reading can be so much more than just 700 page novels. 

We The Gathered Heat is so good! I ordered copies for our Tempe High AAPI Club from Haymarket Books.
