What amendment to the US Constitution would you recommend to form A More Perfect Union to meet the needs of people living in the United States in the 21st century?
Project Description
This quarter we will be learning about the US Constitution and the 27 Amendments that have been passed throughout our country's history. Did you know the last amendment, 27, was ratified was in 1992, in the 20th century!!! Students will learn about the founders thoughts and writing on Democracy, Citizenship and Voting and what that has meant throughout U.S. History. Students will have to engage in critical thinking about the issues that are being felt by Americans in 2022 and decide what amendment they will recommend and make the case for it to be passed by 38 of the 50 states.
