The courses that I teach will confront the harmful effects of white supremacy on all people throughout history.
All people should be treated equally and without prejudice regardless of gender, sexuality, ethnicity, social status, religion, class, and nationality.
These conversations on these issues in the classroom should be happening.
Young people should have the opportunity to learn about the issues and then do real work in the classroom to address the injustices that they see around them and that they want to imagine something better.
Whether we want to ignore the very real harmful barriers does not change that the fact that they are there.
Throughout the school year, students will be working on their questioning skills, research skills, teamwork skills, project management skills and craftsmanship skills to do work that is academically sound while working with 21st century technology to have the students voices heard.
