In my experience, I have had the biggest growth in my learning when I ask my own questions. The questions that I come up with guide me to new learning and ultimately new questions and more learning.
I believe in order to provide an experience for students find value in, students need to be taught and given the space to ask their own questions to guide their learning journey.
This experience will be different.
There will be struggles and frustration as the students realize that they have to play an active role in their education instead of sitting passively and answering the questions that the teacher provides.
This change is the first step of creating a student-centered learning experience and will hopefully lead to an understanding of how each and every student's questions have value and can lead to learning.
If you have resources that would be helpful, please share.
