Survival

Project Description
In this project students will be studying the characteristics of the process that shape places and regions specifically looking at Central America/Caribbean. The students will identify the Earth's physical systems and how they are dynamic and interactive. Survival of natural disasters can be made even harder when the population and culture of a particular area sets them up to be less equipped to withstand natures strong forces.

Challenging Question
Using normal household items found in Guatemala, how could you develop an item that would help someone survive during or after a natural disaster?

Water Filtration - copying the natural water cycle of cleaning water
Reduce/Reuse/Recycle - plastic bags and reusing for different purposes

Public Product
The product will be identified by the students as they take an active role in their learning process.
